Do you need a Post Office Box?
In Ray, mail delivery methods can vary depending on the location of your home. While some residents have their mail conveniently delivered directly to their houses, others are required to obtain a Post Office Box (PO Box). It’s important to note that the distribution of mailboxes and the requirement for a PO Box can be somewhat scattered throughout the town.

To determine whether you need to set up a PO Box, a helpful indicator is the presence of a mailbox in front of your house. If your residence already has a mailbox at your residence, it is likely that you’ll need to establish a PO Box to receive your mail.
To set up a PO Box, you can visit the Ray Post Office located at 6 Main St. Ray, ND. The friendly staff will assist you in selecting an appropriate box size and guide you through the registration process. Remember to bring along two valid forms of identification.
If you have any specific questions or concerns about mail delivery in Ray, we recommend reaching out to the Ray Post Office directly (800)275-877.

Post Office Hours
Monday – Friday (8:00 – 12:30, 1:30 – 3:00)
Saturday (9:00 – 10:00)

Registering your dogs
We know how much you love your furry friends, and we want to make sure they’re safe and accounted for in our city. It’s part of our city ordinance that all pups are registered with our Ray City Hall.
If you have questions about banned dogs, rules, or even just questions look at our city ordinance handbook. (Linked here)
Don’t worry, it’s easy as chasing your tail! Just bring a copy of up-to-date rabies vaccination and distemper paperwork from your vet to the City Hall office during normal business hours. We do have a small fee of $5.00 for each animal. In return, you’ll receive an ID tag that will ensure a quick return home if your pup ever goes on a little adventure. Let’s keep your furry friends safe and register your animals!
